Network/Systems Administrator II

OSAAVA Services is seeking a qualified Network/Systems Administrator II to support IT operations at Langley Air Force Base in Hampton, Virginia.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience maintaining enterprise networks, troubleshooting system issues, managing Windows-based environments, and providing technical support within a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.

This position requires strong troubleshooting abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain secure, reliable IT infrastructure supporting mission-critical operations., * Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows servers, workstations, and network infrastructure.

• Monitor network and system performance to identify and resolve connectivity, hardware, and software issues.
• Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, user accounts, and access permissions.
• Support network services and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPN connectivity.
• Perform routine system maintenance, software updates, security patches, and configuration changes.
• Assist with implementing DoD cybersecurity requirements, including Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
• Troubleshoot network devices, including switches, routers, and related infrastructure.
• Support system backups, recovery procedures, and operational continuity.
• Document technical issues, system configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and resolutions.
• Respond to technical support requests and escalate complex issues when necessary.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity personnel and other IT teams to maintain system security and compliance.
• Assist with hardware and software installations, upgrades, and equipment replacements.

• Active Secret security clearance or higher.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in network administration, systems administration, or enterprise IT support.
• Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and Windows Server environments.
• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP networking.
• Familiarity with network troubleshooting, system administration, and user account management.
• Understanding of basic cybersecurity practices and secure system configurations.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
• Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work full-time on-site at Langley Air Force Base., * CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent DoD-recognized certification.
• Previous experience supporting DoD, U.S. Air Force, or other federal IT environments.
• Experience with Cisco switches, routers, and enterprise networking technologies.
• Familiarity with DISA STIGs and DoD cybersecurity compliance requirements.
• Experience using ticketing systems such as ServiceNow.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies, including VMware or Hyper-V.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration and enterprise collaboration tools.
• Experience supporting classified or mission-critical IT environments.

Annual Salary: $60,000-$70,000

Compensation will be determined based on qualifications, relevant experience, certifications, and technical capabilities.

This is an on-site position requiring regular access to the installation and supported IT environments.
