Sr Network Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to support the design, implementation, optimization, and ongoing management of enterprise network infrastructure. This role is responsible for maintaining highly available, secure, and scalable network environments across corporate, cloud, and data center platforms.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical expert with strong troubleshooting and design capabilities, a customer-focused mindset, and deep experience supporting large-scale enterprise networks. This individual will work closely with internal technology teams, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors to ensure network reliability, performance, and operational excellence., * Design, analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex network infrastructure issues across enterprise environments.

• Provide Tier 3 technical support for network-related incidents, problems, and escalations.
• Resolve incidents directly with internal users, business stakeholders, and technology teams while documenting troubleshooting activities within ticketing systems.
• Collaborate with third-party vendors, service providers, and technology partners to maintain network availability and performance.
• Escalate critical issues appropriately and coordinate resolution efforts across multiple support teams.
• Ensure enterprise, cloud, and hybrid network architectures are scalable, secure, resilient, and highly available.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend emerging networking technologies and solutions that align with business and technical objectives.
• Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and connectivity components within data centers, corporate locations, and cloud environments.
• Execute approved network changes, maintenance activities, and upgrades while minimizing operational disruption.
• Perform network system maintenance, firmware updates, security patches, and lifecycle management activities.
• Develop and maintain accurate network diagrams, technical documentation, operational runbooks, and knowledge base articles.
• Monitor network health, performance, utilization, and capacity across LAN, WLAN, WAN, and cloud networking environments.
• Support network modernization, migration, expansion, and infrastructure improvement initiatives.
• Participate in network disaster recovery planning, testing, and business continuity efforts.

• Full-time contract engagement supporting enterprise infrastructure and networking operations.
• Collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment while managing assignments independently.
• Deliver high-quality customer support and maintain strong service levels for internal and external stakeholders.
• Exhibit strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
• Participate in after-hours maintenance windows, critical incident response, and on-call support rotations as required.
• Support business-critical infrastructure with a focus on uptime, security, and operational excellence.
• Work effectively with distributed teams, vendors, and business partners across multiple locations and time zones., * 7+ years of experience supporting, designing, implementing, and administering enterprise-scale network environments.
• 2+ years of experience focused on network architecture, design, migration, and infrastructure planning., * 7+ years of experience supporting and managing enterprise network infrastructure utilizing technologies such as Cisco, F5, Juniper, or equivalent enterprise networking platforms.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise routing, switching, and network protocols including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, HSRP, STP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
• Professional networking certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIS, JNCIP, or equivalent network engineering credentials strongly preferred., * Experience designing, implementing, migrating, and supporting complex enterprise network environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills within large-scale production environments.
• Experience with network monitoring, capacity planning, performance optimization, and fault management.
• Understanding of network security principles, firewall technologies, segmentation, access controls, and secure network design.
• Experience supporting cloud networking within AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or hybrid cloud environments.
• Strong documentation, communication, and technical writing skills.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment., * Experience with software-defined networking (SD-WAN), network automation, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Experience administering F5 BIG-IP load balancers and application delivery controllers.
• Familiarity with wireless networking technologies and large-scale WLAN deployments.
• Experience with network monitoring and management tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, LogicMonitor, ThousandEyes, or similar platforms.
• Experience supporting cloud network connectivity, ExpressRoute, Direct Connect, VPN, and hybrid network architectures.
• Exposure to automation and scripting technologies such as Python, PowerShell, Ansible, or Terraform.
• Experience supporting geographically distributed enterprise environments and multiple data centers., * Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education, professional certifications, and relevant experience will be considered.
