Job description
This is a senior backend/application development role focused on designing, building, testing, and configuring scalable Java-based applications and distributed systems. The developer will work in an agile environment, collaborate closely with technical leads and client technology/business teams, and handle complex application-development scenarios. Core responsibilities
- Design and build software systems with well-defined interfaces.
- Develop, test, debug, implement, and document complex applications.
- Perform unit and system testing and support TDD practices.
- Design solutions for scale, high availability, redundancy, clustering, disaster recovery, and load balancing.
- Build and work with microservices and distributed architectures.
- Collaborate with technical leads, team members, and client stakeholders.
- Contribute to CI/CD and cloud/container-based application delivery.
Key technical requirements
- Java: Java 8+, Core Java, OOP, Streams, Concurrency, J2EE.
- Spring: Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA, Spring Cloud, Eureka, Spring Cloud Gateway.
- Architecture: Microservices, distributed systems, layered architecture, design patterns, bounded contexts.
- APIs: RESTful services and SOAP.
- Databases: PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL, MongoDB/NoSQL, JPA/Hibernate.
- Cloud & Containers: AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift.
- DevOps: Git, Jenkins, Maven, CI/CD.
- Web/Application Servers: Nginx and Tomcat.
- Security: TLS and SSL certificate knowledge.
- Operating Systems: Unix, Linux, and Windows.
- Additional understanding of networking, data architecture/modeling, memory management, multithreading, algorithms, and optimization.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in microservices architecture and Java design patterns. This requirement remains unchanged based on the reviewer decision.
- St rong coding and technical design capability for complex scenarios.
- Collaborative working style and ability to build positive working relationships.
- Strong commitment to business/client satisfaction and agility.
