Job description

We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Senior Data Analyst to lead data-driven decision-making across our organization. In this role, you will bridge the gap between raw data and executive execution by transforming complex datasets into actionable business intelligence.

As a senior member of the data science and analytics team, you will establish best practices for data modeling, build scalable dashboard architectures, and partner closely with product, engineering, and business teams to uncover optimization opportunities.

Key ResponsibilitiesData Architecture & Pipeline Management

  • Design, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries and advanced data pipelines to ensure clean, structured, and accessible data arrays. Remote Rocketship
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to establish data governance standards, maintain data integrity, and improve data warehousing efficiency.
  • Implement automated data tracking frameworks for new product features and marketing campaigns.

Advanced Analytics & Statistical Modeling

  • Lead deep-dive analysis on complex business problems, consumer behavior patterns, and operational performance metrics. Remote Rocketship
  • Design, execute, and analyze rigorous A/B testing frameworks and multivariate experiments to optimize product performance and conversion rates. Remote Rocketship
  • Utilize statistical programming (Python/R) to build predictive models, segmentation algorithms, and trend forecasts.

Data Visualization & Executive Reporting

  • Develop, deploy, and manage intuitive, interactive business intelligence (BI) dashboards using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
  • Translate complex statistical findings into clear, concise, and compelling visual narratives for executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders. Remote Rocketship
  • Conduct regular KPIs performance reviews and deliver proactive alerts on data anomalies or emerging market trends.

Leadership & Mentorship

  • Act as a technical subject matter expert across the organization, promoting a healthy, data-informed company culture.
  • Mentor and provide constructive technical guidance to junior and mid-level data analysts.
  • Define framework standards for data documentation, reporting protocols, and analytics methodologies.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Writing skills?, Do you have a Master’s degree?, * Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or data science roles. Remote Rocketship

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Advanced SQL: Expert-level proficiency in writing, optimizing, and debugging complex SQL queries (e.g., PostgreSQL, Snowflake, BigQuery).
  • Programming: Strong proficiency in Python or R, specifically using data science libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, or Tidyverse.
  • BI & Visualization: Extensive experience creating enterprise-grade dashboards and data architectures in Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or Metabase.
  • Experimentation: Deep understanding of statistical concepts, including hypothesis testing, sample size calculation, p-values, and regression analysis.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven track record of presenting complex analytical insights to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery).
  • Familiarity with data build tools (dbt) and version control workflows (Git).
  • Background in analytics for SaaS, e-commerce, or digital product environments.
