Senior Software Engineer - Fullstack

Our client, a cutting-edge technology firm, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer (Backend) to join their fully remote engineering team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust backend systems that power their innovative products. You will work with a talented team of engineers, collaborate on architectural decisions, and contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle. We are looking for a proactive problem-solver with a strong understanding of backend technologies and best practices. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve backend software.
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and designers to deliver features.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge.
• Troubleshoot and debug production issues.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and technology decisions.
• Mentor junior engineers and share best practices.
• Optimize application performance and scalability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development.
• Proficiency in one or more backend programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Node.js, Go).
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
• Solid understanding of API design principles (RESTful).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is desirable.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, especially in a remote setting.
