Data Analysis Computational Fluid Dynamics Data Centers Python (Programming Language) Ansys

Job description

This role is dedicated to the development and maintenance of Python-based performance modeling tools for data center cooling systems. You will spend your time building accurate models for critical equipment including pumps, heat exchangers, and chillers-to predict how these components perform under various environmental conditions. You will collaborate closely with software and electrical teams to integrate these cooling models into larger, multidisciplinary simulation tools. A key part of your day involves automating data analysis and visualization workflows, turning complex simulation results into clear guidance for product design. You are not just a programmer; you are a mechanical expert who applies heat transfer and fluid mechanics fundamentals to ensure that simulation results are physically grounded and accurate.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.

  • Strong proficiency in Python for equipment performance modeling and tool development.

  • Strong understanding of heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics.

  • Data Science: Experience with data analysis, visualization, and applied statistics/uncertainty analysis.

  • Simulation Tools: Hands-on experience with ANSYS Fluent or Cadence DC Design (6SigmaDCX). * Hydraulic Modeling: Experience with techniques and software such as PIPE-FLO or AFT Fathom.

  • Professional Licensure: Possession of a Professional Engineering (PE) License.

  • Future-Ready Skills: Experience or interest in CFD analysis of mechanical yards and server halls.

  • Industry Experience: Background in the operation or design of large-scale industrial cooling plants.
