Senior Machine Learning Engineer / Data Scientist

Client is seeking an experienced Senior Machine Learning Engineer / Data Scientist to join its centralized Machine Learning team, supporting multiple business units across the organization. The selected candidate will play a key role in the Customer Intelligence CBI Productionization initiative, focusing on transitioning machine learning models and pipelines from prototypes to production-ready solutions. This role requires strong expertise in Python programming, machine learning, statistical modeling, and end-to-end ML lifecycle management. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing, deploying, monitoring, and optimizing scalable machine learning solutions in cloud-based or Databricks environments. The candidate should be comfortable working with cross-functional teams, improving existing codebases, optimizing ML workflows, and delivering reliable, scalable, and business-driven solutions.

• PhD degree (Mandatory) in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related technical field.
• Strong hands-on programming experience with Python.
• Experience developing modular, reusable, testable, maintainable, and production-grade code.
• Practical experience with data extraction, cleaning, transformation, processing, and analysis.
• Strong understanding of statistical methods, machine learning algorithms, and predictive modeling techniques.
• Hands-on experience developing, building, and productionizing machine learning models and pipelines.
• Understanding of the complete machine learning lifecycle, from model development and validation to deployment and monitoring.
• Must have strong hands-on Python development and productionization experience.
• Must be willing to attend the second round of interviews onsite in Fort Worth, TX.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams., * 8+ years of experience in a technical professional environment.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks and Apache Spark-based machine learning pipelines.
• Experience deploying and maintaining machine learning models in production environments.
• Knowledge of ML orchestration, model monitoring, performance optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with large-scale datasets.
• Experience with ML lifecycle management tools such as MLflow.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated model deployment processes.
• Experience working with Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of parallel processing, distributed computing, and scalable data processing frameworks.
• Experience developing dashboards and data visualizations using Tableau or Power BI.
• Previous experience in the airline, aviation, or transportation industry is a plus.
