  • We are seeking an Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise customer data and real-time personalization solutions for our clients.
  • You will be the primary technical driver on AEP, Real-Time Customer Data Platform (RT-CDP), Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) and Customer Journey Analytics (CJA) engagements, turning business goals into scalable architectures, guiding distributed delivery teams, and advising client leaders from discovery through go-live and value realization., Strategy and client advisory:
  • Lead discovery workshops with business and technology stakeholders to define customer experience use cases, requirements and success metrics.
  • Translate business goals into an AEP architecture and a phased implementation roadmap.
  • Present architecture recommendations, trade-offs and risks to client executives at the VP and C-level.
  • Support pre-sales activities, including solutioning, effort estimation, statements of work and client presentations.

Architecture and design:

  • Design end-to-end solutions across AEP, Real-Time CDP, Adobe Journey Optimizer and Customer Journey Analytics, with architecture diagrams, data flows and reference architectures.
  • Design reusable Experience Data Model (XDM) schemas, field groups, and profile and event datasets aligned to activation and governance needs.
  • Define the identity strategy, including identity namespaces, primary identity, identity graph linking rules, device-to-person stitching and merge policies.
  • Design audience and segmentation strategies (streaming, batch and edge) and activation to downstream destinations.
  • Define how AEP profiles, audiences and events power AJO journeys, campaigns and Offer Decisioning, so the data foundation and the activation layer are designed together.

Journey orchestration and channels (AJO):

  • Partner with AJO specialists to design event- and audience-triggered journeys and campaigns, making sure the AEP events, profiles and audiences they depend on are reliable and timely.
  • Advise on AJO configuration where needed, including custom actions, external data sources, channel surfaces and Offer Decisioning.
  • Define how journey and message feedback data flows back into AEP and Customer Journey Analytics for measurement.

Data collection, ingestion and integration:

  • Define data collection strategies using Adobe Web SDK, Mobile SDK, Adobe Tags and the Edge Network, including event design for real-time triggers.
  • Design batch, streaming and API-based ingestion pipelines that bring online and offline enterprise data into AEP.
  • Design API-led and event-driven integrations with CRM, e-commerce, point-of-sale, data warehouses, marketing automation and other Adobe solutions (AEM, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Adobe Campaign).
  • Use Query Service and Data Distiller for data preparation, validation, analysis and exports.

Governance, quality and operations:

  • Establish data governance, data usage labeling, consent and privacy enforcement in line with GDPR, CCPA and industry regulations.
  • Define data quality, lineage and monitoring practices, including identity graph health (for example, collapsed or oversized profiles).
  • Monitor platform performance and capacity against license entitlements, including profile volumes, ingestion throughput and data retention.
  • Lead troubleshooting and remediation of delivery issues across ingestion, identity, segmentation and activation.

Delivery leadership:

  • Lead and mentor distributed onshore, offshore and nearshore teams, and review designs for quality, scalability and security.
  • Define and document functional and non-functional requirements (performance, latency, data volume, security).
  • Create best practices, accelerators, templates, runbooks and thought leadership content for the practice.
  • Track the Adobe product roadmap, including emerging AI capabilities such as AI Assistant and Agent Orchestrator, and advise clients on their use.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 12 or more years of experience in information technology, with a strong background in customer data, CRM, data architecture or marketing technology.
  • 5 or more years of experience with Adobe Experience Cloud, including at least 4 years of hands-on architecture on Adobe Experience Platform and Real-Time CDP.
  • Led at least two end-to-end implementations of AEP or Real-Time CDP for enterprise clients.
  • Deep expertise in identity resolution, including deterministic identity, identity namespaces, profile stitching and merge policies.
  • Strong data modeling experience, including XDM schema design and customer-centric datasets (CRM, marketing, digital, offline and point-of-sale).
  • Experience with Web SDK, Mobile SDK, Adobe Tags or Edge Network data collection.
  • Experience designing batch, streaming and API-based data integrations, and working knowledge of REST APIs, JSON and event-driven architecture.
  • Advanced SQL skills, ideally with AEP Query Service or Data Distiller, and experience with ETL tools and data warehouses.
  • Understanding of data governance, consent management and privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA).
  • Experience leading and mentoring distributed delivery teams and estimating implementation effort.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain complex architecture decisions to technical, marketing and executive audiences., * Hands-on experience with Adobe Journey Optimizer, including journeys, campaigns, events, custom actions, messages and offers.
  • Experience configuring AJO channel surfaces (email, SMS, push, in-app), including subdomain setup, IP pools and IP warming or deliverability strategy.
  • Hands-on experience with Journey Optimizer Decisioning and Offer Decisioning (offer collections, placements, decision scopes, eligibility and prioritization rules).
  • Familiarity with messaging regulations such as CAN-SPAM and TCPA, and with suppression, frequency capping and quiet hours.
  • Adobe Certified Professional or Expert certification in Adobe Experience Platform, Real-Time CDP, Adobe Journey Optimizer or Customer Journey Analytics; Adobe Certified Master or Architect is a plus.
  • Experience with other Adobe solutions, such as Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Adobe Campaign, Adobe Experience Manager and Adobe Tags.
  • Experience migrating customers from legacy campaign or CDP platforms (for example, Adobe Campaign, Unica, Salesforce Marketing Cloud) to AEP.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift) and public cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with third-party identity and integration tools (LiveRamp, Acxiom, Tealium, Segment, MuleSoft).
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD, sandbox and environment promotion, and automated validation.
  • Programming or scripting experience in Python, JavaScript or Java.
  • Industry experience in retail, consumer goods, financial services, healthcare, telecom or travel.
