Job description

Being a member of CISO team, as Associate Director for SaaS, Web & Collaboration Security, you will help shape how the organization protects sensitive information across cloud applications, web services, enterprise browsers, file-sharing platforms, and collaboration environments.

You will lead the development of practical, scalable controls that reduce data risk while enabling employees to work effectively with clients, partners, and third parties. Working across Cybersecurity, Technology, Privacy, Legal, and the business, you will establish the capability roadmap, translate risk requirements into technical solutions, and guide complex initiatives from design through implementation and operational readiness.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can set direction, influence across a federated organization, and contribute directly to technical design, policy development, testing, and complex problem-solving.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategy and roadmap for data protection across SaaS, web, browser, file-sharing, and collaboration channels.
  • Design and implement CASB and web DLP controls for sanctioned and unsanctioned cloud applications.
  • Establish controls for sensitive-data uploads, downloads, web submissions, copy and paste, printing, and other browser-based activity.
  • Define secure patterns for external file sharing and collaboration with clients, vendors, and other third parties.
  • Develop data protection requirements for Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, guest access, and external sharing.
  • Lead data protection use cases for enterprise browsers and unmanaged-device access.
  • Establish processes for SaaS discovery, application risk assessment, onboarding, exception management, and periodic review.
  • Integrate data sensitivity, user identity, device posture, application risk, destination, and business context into control decisions.
  • Lead technical design reviews, policy testing, implementation, production readiness, and post-deployment tuning.
  • Evaluate control coverage, policy effectiveness, false positives, user impact, and residual risk.
  • Partner with Security Operations to establish monitoring, investigation, support, and escalation processes.
  • Provide technical direction to engineers, platform teams, vendors, and implementation partners.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for complex SaaS, web, browser, and collaboration security issues.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or equivalent experience

Talents Needed for Success:

  • Significant experience in data protection, cloud security, SaaS security, information protection, or security engineering.
  • Hands-on experience designing or implementing CASB, DLP, secure browser, or comparable cloud-security controls. Experience with Zscaler, Microsoft Purview and Defender and other CASB and data protection technologies
  • Strong understanding of SaaS application risk, Shadow IT, sensitive-data movement, and policy enforcement.
  • Experience securing Microsoft 365 collaboration environments, including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, guest access, or external sharing.
  • Experience designing controls for uploads, downloads, browser activity, file sharing, and external collaboration.
  • Knowledge of identity-aware and context-based security controls, including user, device, application, destination, and data-sensitivity signals.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex security initiatives across multiple technology and business teams.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to translate policy and risk requirements into practical and scalable technical solutions.
  • Experience in financial services or another highly regulated industry.

Benefits & conditions

  • Competitive compensation, including base pay and annual incentive
  • Comprehensive health and life insurance and well-being benefits, based on location
  • Pension / Retirement benefits
  • Paid Time Off and Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
