Senior/Staff Software Engineer, Agentic Platform

As a Senior or Staff Software Engineer, you will shape the architecture and delivery of the agent platform, spanning orchestration, retrieval, evaluation and observability.

You should bring hands-on experience deploying agentic systems to production, with clear insight into architectural trade-offs, unexpected failures and the changes needed to improve performance and reliability.

What You’ll Do

• Design and build agentic infrastructure spanning orchestration, tool use, memory, retrieval and guardrails.
• Own systems that take heterogeneous customer data from ingestion through reasoning to actionable insights.
• Establish evaluation frameworks grounded in expert-validated answers and measurable customer outcomes.
• Build observability and testing practices that expose failures in non-deterministic systems.
• Partner with Engineering and Product to shape the platform’s technical direction.
• Mentor engineers and raise standards through code reviews, design documents and hands-on technical guidance.

• 4+ years of software engineering experience, with ownership consistent with senior or staff level.
• At least one year of recent, hands-on agentic systems experience, including production deployment.
• Experience with LLM orchestration, tool or function calling, multi-step reasoning, retrieval and context engineering.
• Strong judgment around LLM failure modes, evaluation, observability and reliability.
• Experience transforming messy, heterogeneous data into inputs that models can use reliably.
• A track record of designing and operating data-intensive distributed systems in B2B or enterprise environments.
• The ability to make and explain architectural decisions, balance delivery speed with reliability, and mentor without formal authority.
• Evidence of sustained ownership, including supporting and improving systems after launch.

Particularly Relevant Experience

• Multi-agent systems and interoperability protocols such as MCP.
• Enterprise AI platforms with demanding operational and reliability requirements.
• Manufacturing, industrial or similarly complex operational data.

The team values direct feedback, low ego and accountability. This is a hands-on role with substantial technical ownership. Critical delivery periods may occasionally require weekend work, alongside respect for planned time off.
