Job description

Perform end-to-end testing across:

  • ETL processes (data extraction, transformation, and loading)
  • APIs and system integrations
  • Validate data movement and transformations between systems (e.g., API * database)
  • Understand and test critical API workflows, even if not directly automating them
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues across systems by collaborating with:
  • Business Analysts (BAs)
  • Developers
  • Take a proactive approach to problem-solving and issue resolution
  • Contribute within an Agile environment (2-week sprint cycles)

Requirements

  • Senior QA engineer with strong ETL + API testing experience
  • Comfortable working in data transformation environments
  • Able to hit the ground running with minimal ramp-up
  • Brings proactivity, ownership, and strong communication skills
  • Automation experience is a bonus, not a requirement, The team is seeking a Senior-level QA / Quality Engineer with strong experience in ETL and API testing. While this is not strictly an automation role, candidates must have a solid understanding of data processing, transformations, and system flows. This individual should be able to quickly ramp up, work independently, and contribute immediately in a fast-paced Agile environment., * Strong Quality Engineering / QA testing experience (Senior-level)

Hands-on experience with:

  • ETL/Data validation testing
  • API testing and understanding API flows
  • Ability to understand data processing and transformation logic

Proven ability to:

  • Ramp up quickly
  • Work independently with minimal guidance
  • Communicate effectively across cross-functional teams
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills (working with BAs, developers, testers)

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with test automation (not required, but a strong plus)
  • Exposure to automation frameworks or tools
  • Experience working in data-heavy or integration-heavy environments
  • Soft Skills / Candidate Profile

Proactive and self-sufficient - does not wait for direction

  • Comfortable asking questions and engaging stakeholders
  • Strong team player mindset
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to go above and beyond
  • Able to independently coordinate with developers and BAs when needed

Team & Environment

  • Agile team structure with 2-week sprint cycles
  • Regular collaboration with BAs, developers, and other QA resources
  • Increasing scope of work; this role will help fill a gap left by an internal team transition
  • Opportunity to step into a senior/lead-type contributor role
