Job description

Position Summary: The IT Coordinator plays a key role within Urban Street Angels ensuring information technology is secure, accessible and effective. The IT Coordinator will support the information technology and troubleshooting needs of our staff. It involves regular IT and AV setup for daily needs and special events, managing support tickets, and accurately documenting job activities through a ticketing system. The IT Coordinator is expected to interact in a professional, polite manner when dealing with staff, and will frequently need to collaborate with representatives from various departments. A key component of the role is listening to and interpreting users’ technology concerns, then being part of designing and implementing solutions to address their needs. This job requires a strong, detail-oriented and customer service mindset., * Network Infrastructure: Setting up and maintaining a working internet connection and firewall for three locations, including separate log ins for clients and staff. Current set-up is Ubiqiuiti Dream Machine Pro enterprise network appliance at each site, along with wireless access points. Monitoring firewall and any illegal downloading activity from clients. Ensuring interruption free internet connections for all staff. Interface with our Managed Service Provider (MSP).

  • Policies and Compliance: Establishing protocols and ensuring compliance with cyber security company (insurance requirements) and any other requirements/regulations stipulated by funding agencies.
  • Tech Equipment: Inventory, set up and management of all IT assets.
  • Device Management Systems: Enrolling and streamlining all employee devices into MDM system (Scale Fusion). Managing G Suite account.
  • Tech Maintenance & Systems: Support and troubleshoot facility software and hardware. Perform testing and evaluation on new software and hardware products. Create ticketing system for IT needs and document work done and time spent within ticketing system. Develop and maintain thorough standard operating procedure (SOP) documentation. Assist in maintaining the organizations website.

Requirements

Do you have experience in WAN?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * Minimum High School Diploma or G.E.D. plus two years’ experience working in the IT field; or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science (preferred); equivalent experience acceptable

  • CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or similar certifications advantageous
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and frequently lift or maneuver equipment up to 80 pounds
  • Proficiencies with any of the following: GSuite, Microsoft Office 365, Windows Azure, AWS, Salesforce, Adobe Creative Suite, Aeries, Cisco networking products
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage stress effectively in high-pressure situations
  • Understanding of TCP/IP protocols and LAN/WAN configuration
  • Must submit to a background check via Live Scan (with ongoing alerts), and TB test, as required by specific programs, funding requirements and licensing regulations

Additional Requirements:

  • Reliable transportation
  • Travel up to 20% (within San Diego county - to La Mesa and Vista, on occasion)
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and work in varied indoor/outdoor settings.
  • Must pass background check and fingerprint clearance.
  • Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed.
