Job description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to oversee and direct multiple telecommunications construction projects across the Columbus, OH region.
This role is responsible for ensuring projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with company standards and customer requirements.
The Senior Construction Manager provides leadership to Construction Managers, Supervisors, and field teams while maintaining strong relationships with clients, municipalities, and subcontractors., * Oversee multiple telecom construction projects from pre-construction through closeout
- Manage aerial, underground, fiber optic, coax, and directional drilling operations
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company safety standards
- Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
- Review and approve project estimates, change orders, and cost reporting
- Coordinate with engineering, permitting, and utility stakeholders
- Serve as the primary escalation point for clients and project issues
- Lead production, scheduling, and safety meetings
- Maintain quality control standards and ensure adherence to project specifications
- Oversee subcontractor performance and contract compliance
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Mentor and develop Construction Managers and field leadership teams
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driver’s License license?, Do you have experience in Utility construction projects?, * 7+ years of telecommunications construction experience
- 3+ years in a leadership or multi-project management role
- Strong knowledge of fiber optic networks (FTTH, backbone, distribution)
- Experience managing aerial and underground telecom construction
- Working knowledge of permitting, right-of-way, and utility coordination
- Ability to read and interpret construction prints and KMZ files
- Strong budgeting, forecasting, and cost control experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Project) and project management tools
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 30 Certification
- PMP certification
- Experience working with large telecom carriers or major infrastructure providers
- Experience managing large-scale fiber deployment programs

- Weekend work may be required based on project demands, * Telecom/OSP Construction Management: 4 years (Required)
