Job description

Batteries Plus is looking for an IT Application Developer I to join our dynamic IT team. In this role, you’ll support the design, development, and maintenance of custom software applications that keep our business running efficiently. Working closely with analysts, engineers, and other developers, you’ll help create high-quality, scalable solutions that meet the needs of our growing organization. What You’ll Do

  • Assist with designing, developing, and maintaining custom software applications based on business and user requirements.
  • Participate in the development of clean, reusable, and maintainable code that aligns with coding standards and best practices.
  • Analyze existing applications to identify defects or areas for improvement.
  • Assist with software testing and validation to ensure functionality and performance.
  • Support the installation of applications and ensure compatibility with system specifications.
  • Collaborate with analysts, developers, and stakeholders to optimize user experience and system performance.
  • Incorporate user feedback and participate in the continuous improvement of applications.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to design and deliver high-impact solutions.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Software engineering?, * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

  • Minimum of 1 year of software development experience preferred
  • Proficiency with:
  • Languages/Frameworks: ASP.NET, VB.NET, C#, ADO.NET, ASP.NET MVC
  • Tools/Technologies: Visual Studio, HTML, CSS, XML, AJAX, JavaScript
  • Exposure to: SharePoint, BizTalk, LINQ, Entity Framework, Azure DevOps, TFS, jQuery, XSL/XSLT, WCF, or automated testing frameworks
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within a collaborative IT environment
