Join our dynamic cybersecurity team as a CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) Cybersecurity Consultant, where your expertise will drive the implementation and management of robust security frameworks for Department of Defense (DoD) contractors and other organizations seeking to meet rigorous cybersecurity standards. In this pivotal role, you will lead efforts to develop, evaluate, and enhance cybersecurity programs aligned with NIST standards, ISO frameworks, and federal compliance requirements. Your proactive approach will ensure that client systems are resilient against evolving threats while maintaining compliance with CMMC requirements. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence security posture across diverse IT environments, from cloud infrastructure to on-premises networks., * Lead the development of CMMC compliance using NIST checklist.
- Specialize in small and mid-size manufacturing and service providers
- Educate companies on what Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) is and how to handle and classify these documents.
- This position is ideal for a cybersecurity freelancer looking to grow their client base who enjoys working with small to medium companies who may have little cybersecurity processes.
- Remote work is acceptable but there is some expectation of onsite work at clients. Core geographic focus on Southern California but could include nationwide projects.
