SAP S/4HANA Funds Management (FM) Functional Specialist

We are seeking an expert SAP S/4HANA Funds Management (FM) Functional Specialist for a critical enterprise implementation. This contract role focuses on designing, configuring, and deploying public sector or federal financial structures within an S/4HANA environment. You will be responsible for aligning budget execution, commitment tracking, and funds availability checking with core financial and procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities

Funds Management Design & Configuration

Budgeting Architecture: Blueprint and configure SAP Funds Management (FI-FM) structures, including Funds, Funds Centers, Commitment Items, and Functional Areas.

Budget Control System (BCS): Design and implement complex Budget Control System rules, budget entry documents, transfers, releases, and budget consistency checks.

Availability Control (AVC): Configure robust Availability Control (AVC) matrices to manage real-time budget tolerance limits, warnings, and hard stops across the enterprise.

Integration & Execution

Integration Points: Drive seamless integration between FI-FM and tracking touchpoints in Materials Management (MM/Procurement via Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders), Project System (PS/WBS elements), and Finance (FI-GL/AP/AR).

Year-End Closing: Lead the configuration and testing of FM year-end closing operations, including commitment carryforwards and budget carryforwards.
