Job description

Insight Global is looking for a Network Administrator to join one of their federal contracting clients in the Baltimore, MD area. The Network Admin will support a SATCOM contract and will be in charge of operational support, sustainment, and oversight of STRMM (SATCOM Terminal Remote Management and Monitoring) systems across local and remote environments - configuring and monitoring satellite dishes remotely. This role works closely with Network Engineers, vendors, and military stakeholders to ensure system availability, security compliance, and timely resolution of issues. An active Secret security clearance is required. This is a fully onsite opportunity - 5 days a week., Support Network Engineers with STRMM software updates across cluster and terminal servers

-Coordinate with CodeMettle to implement applicable IAVA (Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert) updates and deploy them to remote systems

-Work with SMC Help Desk personnel to oversee sustainment and support activities for local and remote STRMM systems

-Monitor and manage all CodeMettle-assigned trouble tickets, ensuring issues are tracked from open to close

-Coordinate with AFCENT and CodeMettle engineers to resolve STRMM issues impacting the AFCENT network

-Ensure system support activities align with military network and cybersecurity requirements

-Provide status updates, documentation, and escalation support as needed

Requirements

Active Secret clearance

-Bachelor’s Degree

-Minimum 4 years of IT customer support experience

-Minimum 2 years of experience supporting systems in a military environment

-Experience supporting enterprise networked systems and applications

-Familiarity with system patching, updates, and vulnerability remediation (IAVA) Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert -Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical discipline
