Job description

SYSTEMTEC is seeking a IT Program Manager for a hybrid opportunity in Columbia, SC. The ideal candidate will lead complex enterprise technology projects from planning through implementation, ensuring successful delivery of business and technical objectives. This role requires a highly organized project management professional who can coordinate cross-functional teams, manage project governance, and drive accountability across multiple stakeholders., * Lead enterprise technology projects from initiation through deployment, business acceptance, and project closure.

  • Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules, timelines, budgets, resources, and deliverables.
  • Facilitate project meetings, stakeholder discussions, status reviews, and executive reporting activities.
  • Monitor project performance, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to support successful delivery.
  • Coordinate activities across business, technical, and vendor teams to ensure project objectives are achieved.
  • Maintain project documentation, governance artifacts, and implementation readiness activities, including occasional after-hours deployments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of information technology experience with demonstrated leadership responsibilities.
  • At least 4 years of experience leading multiple concurrent project teams and initiatives.
  • Proven success managing projects through the full lifecycle, from initiation and planning through implementation and closure.
  • Strong experience with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and project controls.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Project to develop and maintain detailed project plans.
  • Experience managing project risks, issues, dependencies, and stakeholder communications.
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC methodologies, project governance, and enterprise delivery practices.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and executive communication skills.

Preferred Skills/Experience of the IT Program Manager:

  • PMP certification.
  • Experience supporting enterprise platform implementation projects.
  • Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Exposure to portfolio or program management environments.
  • Experience working on large-scale technology transformation initiatives.
  • Strong ability to drive accountability and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
