Job description

Performs research and project management functions to improve the data capture, processing, and storage of information, and improve the productivity and efficiency of department operations. Oversees the procurement processes of strategic department related products and services.

What you will do

  • Remain current on IT systems utilized by the agency, financial operations and records management, including legal requirements and trends in new technologies impacting these areas.
  • Consults with staff, as needed, on records / file processing and resolving issues when identified.
  • Work with vendors, Metro Goverment ITS, and other partners to coordinate technology initiatives targeted at improving operations.
  • Serve on school and district project teams related to department Initiatives as required
  • Assist schools and administrative personnel in department related planning and purchasing.
  • Coordinates the identification of, detail gathering for and procurement of outside resources, that assist with implementing new or maintaining existing services.
  • Generate purchase requisitions and process invoices for the department utilizing the district’s ERP/Finance system.
  • Assist with the preparation of annual budgets, process orders, retain documentation to track expenditures and reconcile all against the approved department operating and technology specific capital budgets.
  • Collaborate with Department leadership, Finance, and Human Resource departments to maintain correct payroll cost allocations and FTE accuracy.
  • Generate reports, as needed, related to expenditures for operating and captial bugets under the control of department.

Additional Requirements

Requirements

Do you have experience in Spreadsheets?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, Bachelor’s Degree Preferred, 3-5 years of experience utilizing a commercial grade Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system Required

Skills and Abilities

  • Forms creation and signature processing utilizing Acrobat Pro (High proficiency)
  • Demonstratable experience in creating spreadsheets that utilize multiple forms of ‘Lookups’ and nested logic including intermixed ‘if, and, or’ logic, with conditional formatting. (High proficiency)
  • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office productivity suite. (Medium proficiency)
