Job description

We are seeking a proactive Cybersecurity Engineer to protect and harden our cloud and on-premises environments, design and maintain secure network architectures, and support detection and response operations. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on technical skills with practical experience in Azure and Microsoft platforms, network security devices, vulnerability management, identity and access management, and modern security analytics tools. This role contributes to incident detection and remediation, security automation, and compliance efforts across the organization., * Design, implement, and maintain security controls for cloud (Azure) and on-premises environments, including network segmentation, firewalls, and Hyper-V host hardening.

  • Manage and configure next-generation firewalls and security appliances (Fortinet and others) to enforce security policies and monitor traffic.
  • Perform vulnerability scanning and management using tools such as Nessus; prioritize and validate remediation activities with system owners.
  • Implement and operate identity and access management (IAM) solutions, including role-based access, single sign-on, and privileged access management.
  • Integrate and secure APIs and service endpoints, reviewing design for secure authentication, authorization, and data protection.
  • Support detection and response by deploying and tuning security analytics tools (DarkTrace, Cyrebro) and integrating telemetry into SIEM and SOAR workflows.
  • Develop and maintain playbooks and runbooks for incident response, containment, and recovery; participate in incident investigations and post-incident reviews.
  • Collaborate with cloud and platform engineers to secure Microsoft/Azure services, including subscription-level policies, Azure AD, and Compliance Manager configurations.
  • Automate routine security tasks and workflows using scripting, playbooks, and security orchestration to increase efficiency and reduce mean time to remediate.
  • Evaluate and pilot emerging security technologies and AI-assisted tools (CoPilot, Claude) to improve productivity while ensuring secure usage.
  • Work with compliance and audit teams to support assessments, evidence collection, and implementation of corrective actions to meet regulatory and internal standards.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Vuls?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 3+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity or related engineering roles; experience securing cloud and hybrid environments preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure AD, subscription and resource security, and Compliance Manager.
  • Proven experience with firewalls and network security appliances, specifically Fortinet family of products.
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning and remediation using Nessus or equivalent tools.
  • Familiarity with Hyper-V virtualization security best practices and host-based hardening.
  • Solid understanding of APIs, secure coding practices, authentication/authorization schemes (OAuth, JWT), and API gateways.
  • Practical experience implementing and managing IAM solutions, privilege management, and SSO integrations.
  • Experience deploying and tuning security detection tools such as DarkTrace and Cyrebro or similar network/XDR products.
  • Comfort using AI-assisted tools and copilots (CoPilot, Claude) to augment security workflows while enforcing appropriate guardrails.
  • Strong scripting or automation skills (PowerShell, Python, or similar) and familiarity integrating telemetry into SIEM/SOAR.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to work across teams, and experience supporting compliance and audit activities.
