Job description

As a member of our IT Field Technician operations team, you’ll be responsible for providing on-site installation services to all the company’s commercial customers and some residential customers. Your primary focus will be installing hardware and software products and services that have been specified and sold.

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driver’s License license?, Do you have experience in iOS support?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * Physical Demands: Include but not limited to standing, walking, work from high places and climbing ladders.

  • Inclement Environment: The position periodically involves working within residential areas without HVAC such as attics and crawl spaces, meaning working temperatures are subject to seasonal fluctuations.
  • Equipment Handling: Use ladders, power tools and move equipment between worksites as needed.
  • Lifting: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance.

What You’ll Need:

  • Solid understanding of small business or residential class routers and network equipment and have the experience and knowledge to be able to configure and troubleshoot remote viewing of our surveillance systems and network-based access control systems.
  • Knowledge of all Microsoft operating systems such as Windows 10/11 as well as Microsoft Server OS is a must.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server is desired as some of the software products we deploy are database driven.
  • Any Linux OS experience is a plus.
  • The ability to install and configure apps on both the Android and iPhone/iPad based devices is a must.
  • Basic electronics experience and wiring skills are desired.
  • Relay logic and any experience with security electronics is a plus.
  • Network termination to 568A/B standards is required.
  • Education:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Driving Requirements:
  • Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving history.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Work on servers, workstations, software and networks that will either be completely installed and supplied by our company or in environments where we will install software and hardware on customer owned networks, servers and workstations.
  • Interacting with both technical and non-technical customers.
  • Using your solid networking background to work with our customer’s IT departments to solve software, networking, and hardware issues.
