Job description

  • Design & Prototyping: Create schematics, design PCBs, and develop hardware components (like processors and FPGAs) from concept to mass production.
  • Testing & Validation: Bring up new hardware, execute system-level tests, and use debugging tools like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with firmware, software, and mechanical teams to integrate hardware systems and troubleshoot issues.
  • Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform failure analysis on fielded hardware and resolve legacy or manufacturing defects.
  • Documentation: Generate and maintain detailed technical specifications, design reviews, and test plans.

Requirements

Quality Support, Inc., openings for Hardware Engineers with 5+ years of related experience with a background of submarine electronic subsystem requirements, development, testing, building, maintaining, and troubleshooting AI infrastructure under the guidance of senior staff. In this role, you will bridge the gap between design and production, focusing on prototyping, PCB design, testing and system integration of our rapidly expanding AI infrastructure. Working alongside senior engineers, you will ensure the highest levels of system availability, performance, and security as we bring innovative products from concept to prototype to mass production. Preferred Virginia Class Submarine Program and/or Columbia Class Submarine Program background/experience but not required. Secret and Top-Secret clearances required. Must be a US Citizen., * Proficiency with design and analysis software (e.g., Siemens Xpedition, Altium).

  • Experience with communication interfaces (PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI).

Education / Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a STEM field
  • Five plus years of professional experience in hardware, circuit design, or embedded systems.
  • Five plus years of experience as a Hardware/AI Engineer
  • Two plus years of experience with AI, would be helpful
  • Master’s degree in electrical or computer engineering as a future education goal
