Job description
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager with a strong background in financial services and exposure to Commercial Real Estate (CRE) systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end technology projects, ensuring the timely delivery of system implementations, integrations, and enhancements that support CRE business functions.
This individual will serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, CRE operations, and technology teams to ensure business objectives are met through robust project execution and governance., * Lead end-to-end project delivery for IT initiatives supporting CRE (loan origination, servicing, risk, portfolio management, reporting systems, etc.).
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial tracking in line with institutional governance standards.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (business stakeholders, IT developers, vendors, QA, data, and infrastructure teams).
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, risk controls, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, risk logs, and communication plans.
- Drive status reporting for executive stakeholders, including dashboards and presentations.
- Oversee UAT, QA, and implementation activities for system rollouts and integrations.
- Partner with vendors and third-party technology providers to deliver CRE solutions.
- Identify opportunities for process automation, digitalization, and efficiency improvements within CRE systems.
Requirements
- 7+ years of IT Project Management experience within a financial institution.
- Proven track record managing large-scale, complex projects with budgets and multiple stakeholders.
- Experience working on Commercial Real Estate lending systems, loan servicing, or related financial applications.
- Familiarity with banking processes, CRE risk, regulatory, and compliance frameworks.
- Strong governance, reporting, and executive communication skills.
- Proficiency with project management tools (Clarity, JIRA, MS Project, or similar).
- Strong technical understanding of system integrations, data flows, and testing cycles.
- Ability to influence, negotiate, and build relationships across business and IT teams., * PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications.
- Experience with CRE loan origination platforms (e.g., AFSVision, nCino, LoanIQ, or similar).
- Exposure to data governance, cloud migrations, and API integrations.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as OSFI guidelines, Basel III, and risk reporting standards.
- Previous experience with vendor management and contract negotiations., * Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management at all levels (including C-suite).
- Analytical mindset with ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Resilient, adaptable, and able to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
