Management Consultant, Data & AI Transformation

We are seeking a client-facing Management Consultant, Analytics & AI Transformation to support a Veterans Health Administration (VHA) program focused on improving Veteran health care through emerging technology, data-driven decision-making, and stakeholder engagement.

This role will support the development and management of an automated innovation intake portal used by both external industry partners and internal government stakeholders to submit, evaluate, track, and advance innovation opportunities. This role will also assess program processes for automation opportunities and methods to streamline analytics. The consultant will help translate program needs into practical workflows, dashboards, prototypes, executive briefings, and performance insights.

The ideal candidate is a strong general management consultant who can create polished client-facing decks, gather requirements from diverse stakeholders, analyze program data, build Power BI dashboards, support AI tooling, and present program KPIs in a clear, executive-ready format. This person should be comfortable working in a mission-driven health care environment and helping government leaders make better decisions using data, automation, and emerging AI tools. The successful candidate can examine the larger picture to craft automation, data, and AI recommendations that improve efficiency and enhance the mission .

Responsibilities

• Design, refine, and manage an automated innovation intake portal for external industry submissions and internal stakeholder requests.
• Gather requirements from government stakeholders, clinical/operational users, technical teams, and external partners.
• Translate intake, review, evaluation, and prioritization processes into clear workflows, user stories, process maps, dashboards, and implementation recommendations.
• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards to track diverse program activity, stakeholder engagement, review status, adoption progress, outcomes, risks, and program KPIs.
• Analyze program data and prepare leadership-ready insights, trends, dashboards, and recommendations.
• Support development of AI tooling prototypes, including identifying use cases, documenting requirements, testing workflows, supporting demos, and translating prototype value for non-technical audiences.
• Create polished PowerPoint decks, executive briefings, status reports, roadmaps, dashboard narratives, and decision-support materials.
• Present KPIs, analytics, and program updates to government clients and internal leadership.
• Support process improvement, change management, user adoption, training materials, SOPs, and stakeholder communications.
• Coordinate across program management, data, technology, communications, and innovation teams to ensure tools and reporting products support mission needs.
• Help ensure solutions are practical, user-centered, secure, accessible, and appropriate for a federal health care environment.

Do you have experience in Trend analysis?, * 3-7+ years of experience in management consulting, federal consulting, digital transformation, data analytics, business analysis, innovation program support, or technology-enabled program management.

• Strong client-facing communication skills, including the ability to brief government leaders and facilitate stakeholder discussions.
• Demonstrated ability to create polished, executive-ready PowerPoint decks and data-driven presentations.
• Experience creating dashboards, reports, or performance analytics using Power BI, Excel, and similar tools.
• Experience gathering requirements, documenting workflows, creating process maps, and translating business needs into technical or functional requirements.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools, including SharePoint, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and ideally Power Automate or Power Apps.
• Ability to analyze program data and communicate trends, risks, and recommendations clearly.
• Comfort supporting emerging technology, AI tooling, automation, or prototype development efforts.
• Ability to work across technical and non-technical teams in a fast-moving client environment.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience supporting VHA, VA, HHS, DHA, DoD health, CMS, or another federal health care client.
• Experience with innovation programs, accelerator programs, challenge programs, technology pilots, venture-style intake, or industry engagement.
• Experience supporting intake portals, workflow automation, CRM-style tracking systems, SharePoint-based tools, Power Apps, ServiceNow, Salesforce, or similar platforms.
• Experience with AI use-case identification, prototyping, prompt development, responsible AI considerations, or AI adoption support.
• Familiarity with health care operations, Veteran health care, clinical innovation, digital health, medical technology, or health system transformation.
• Understanding of federal data, privacy, security, accessibility, and governance considerations.
• Public trust or ability to obtain a federal clearance.
