Job description

We are looking for a hands-on IT Administrator / Support Specialist to be the go-to technology resource for our team. In this role you will own day-to-day helpdesk support, manage our device fleet, administer a modern SaaS application stack, maintain DNS and email security records, and keep a watchful eye on security alerts. This is a highly collaborative, cross-functional position - you will interact with every department and every level of the organization.

The ideal candidate is comfortable juggling a busy helpdesk queue in the morning and jumping into an Entra ID configuration or a Defender alert investigation in the afternoon. You take pride in keeping things running smoothly, communicate clearly with non-technical colleagues, and proactively flag issues before they become problems.

Responsiblities

Day-to-Day User Support (approx. 15-20 hrs/week)

  • Serve as the first point of contact for all IT support requests - password resets, access issues, and application troubleshooting.
  • Diagnose and resolve user inability to access business applications, escalating to vendors when appropriate.
  • Review and debug sign-in logs (Entra ID / Azure AD) to identify access failures, suspicious activity, or misconfigurations.

Device & Equipment Management (approx. 5-10 hrs/week)

  • Maintain and support end-user devices across platforms:
  • macOS, Windows, Android (BYOD), iOS (BYOD), and iPad
  • Configure and provision new employee hardware and accounts from day one.
  • Manage shared office technology including conference room displays, Rally Bar video bars and microphones, and printers.

Business Application Administration (approx. 5-10 hrs/week)

  • Administer and support the following platforms, acting as the internal point of contact for user access, licensing, and configuration:
  • Microsoft 365 Suite
  • Salesforce
  • Entra ID (Azure AD)
  • Salesloft
  • Microsoft Intune
  • Sales Navigator (LinkedIn)
  • Microsoft Defender
  • ZoomInfo
  • Microsoft Project Server SE
  • Sprinto
  • Active Directory (On-Prem)
  • Google Workspace
  • Claude (Anthropic)
  • PMO Apps (via Apps4Rent)
  • Communicate with our hosted-server vendor (Apps4Rent) and manage Microsoft Project Desktop for end users.

DNS & Email Authentication Maintenance

  • Monitor and maintain SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records to ensure reliable email delivery and domain authentication.
  • Add, update, or remove CNAME and TXT records as needed to validate domains for business applications.

Security Alert Monitoring (approx. 5-10 hrs/week)

  • Monitor security alerts across business systems, with a primary focus on Microsoft Defender (EDR).
  • Investigate and triage Defender inbox alerts, endpoint detections, and other triggered events.
  • Escalate confirmed incidents appropriately and document findings for the record.

Requirements

Do you have experience in macOS administration?, Required

  • 2+ years of experience in an IT support, helpdesk, or sysadmin role
  • Hands-on experience supporting both macOS and Windows environments
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, and Defender
  • Familiarity with DNS record management (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, CNAME, TXT)
  • Strong communication skills and patience when supporting non-technical users

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Salesforce, Salesloft, ZoomInfo, or similar sales tech stack
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project Server or PMO tooling
  • Experience with Active Directory (on-premises)
  • Relevant certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft MD-102, or similar
  • Experience with Sprinto or similar SOC2 compliance/security posture platforms

Benefits & conditions

  • Exposure to a modern, diverse technology stack across SaaS, cloud identity, and endpoint security
  • Opportunities to grow your skills and take on expanded responsibilities over time
  • Enjoy a casual dress code and a collaborative, open-office layout located in the Fenton shopping center in Cary.
  • We believe in the power of face-to-face connection without sacrificing work-life balance. We are currently in-office on Tuesdays to foster team collaboration, with the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of the week.
  • We offer a competitive salary and a full comprehensive benefits package
