Job description

Seeking a senior Level II Data Center Technician with extensive experience in hyperscale, cloud, AI, or mission-critical data center environments. This role supports large-scale AI infrastructure deployments involving high-density GPU clusters, advanced fiber systems, and next-generation networking technologies., * Install, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot critical data center infrastructure.

  • Perform rack & stack, hardware deployments, upgrades, break-fix, and decommissioning activities.
  • Support servers, storage, network equipment, GPU clusters, and AI infrastructure.
  • Execute asset tracking, physical audits, and operational support.

Fiber Infrastructure

  • Install, terminate, test, certify, and troubleshoot single-mode and multi-mode fiber.
  • Expert with MPO/MTP, LC, and high-density fiber systems.
  • Utilize OTDRs, power meters, and fiber certification tools.
  • Support backbone, horizontal, and inter-building fiber deployments.

Networking

  • Deploy and troubleshoot spine-leaf architectures, ToR switches, routers, and optical transport systems.
  • Support 100G/200G/400G/800G networking environments.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, EVPN, RDMA, and RoCE.
  • Experience with Cisco, Arista, Juniper, and NVIDIA/Mellanox platforms.

AI & Hyperscale Infrastructure

  • Support deployment of GPU clusters and AI compute environments.
  • Experience with NVIDIA DGX/HGX platforms, InfiniBand fabrics, and high-density compute environments.
  • Support liquid-cooled and air-cooled infrastructure.
  • Perform commissioning, connectivity validation, and production readiness testing.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain infrastructure documentation, cable records, and change management processes.
  • Follow safety, quality, and operational standards in mission-critical environments.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Telecommunications testing equipment?, Required Technical Skills Fiber Optics

  • 10+ years of hands-on fiber experience.
  • Expert knowledge of:
  • Single-mode (OS1/OS2) & Multi-mode (OM3/OM4/OM5)
  • MPO/MTP systems
  • OTDR testing
  • Fiber certification
  • Fusion splicing
  • Fiber inspection and cleaning

Data Center & Networking

  • Strong Layer 1-3 networking knowledge.
  • Advanced rack & stack and structured cabling experience.
  • Understanding of DCIM tools, asset management, and data center operations.
  • Experience supporting hyperscale cloud, HPC, AI, or colocation environments.

Preferred Certifications

  • BICSI Technician or Installer
  • CFOT / FOA
  • CCNA / CCNP
  • CompTIA Network+
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30

Ideal Background

Candidates should have experience supporting hyperscale or AI environments for organizations such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft, Google, Meta, NVIDIA, CoreWeave, Equinix, or Digital Realty.
