Job description

Fernbrook Family Center is seeking a Manager of Information Technology to lead and oversee the organization’s technology systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and strategic IT initiatives. This leadership position is responsible for ensuring secure, reliable, and HIPAA-compliant technology operations across the agency while supporting staff through effective technology solutions and responsive technical support.

The Manager of Information Technology will supervise the IT Department, provide leadership to the IT Specialist, manage vendor relationships, oversee cybersecurity and technology assets, and partner with organizational leaders to align technology investments with agency goals and growth., * Manage and maintain the agency’s network, hardware, software, and overall technology infrastructure.

  • Oversee technology vendors, contracts, and service agreements.
  • Evaluate and monitor software and technology solutions for HIPAA compliance.
  • Provide backup support for help-desk and troubleshooting needs during absences, high-volume periods, or escalated situations.
  • Lead cybersecurity efforts, including threat monitoring and secure system practices.
  • Manage technology asset procurement, inventory, maintenance, and replacement planning.
  • Develop and maintain technology asset lifecycle tracking processes.
  • Create and manage the annual technology budget.
  • Coordinate and deliver staff training on technology systems, cybersecurity, and agency tools.
  • Partner with the Executive Director of Operations to ensure alignment between IT systems, operational needs, and compliance requirements.
  • Support implementation of new technologies, upgrades, and system improvements.
  • Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and technical documentation.
  • Ensure secure configuration, data storage, and access controls across all systems.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of technology systems and processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned., The Manager of Information Technology oversees the IT Department and directly supervises the IT Specialist, providing guidance, support, and accountability to ensure effective daily technology operations.

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driver’s License license?, Do you have experience in Network hardware support?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Experience managing network infrastructure and cybersecurity tools.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and support.
  • Strong technical knowledge of networks, hardware, software, and cybersecurity.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to confidentiality, security, and HIPAA compliance.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, automobile insurance, and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass a Department of Human Services background check., * Three or more years of IT experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
  • Experience working with HIPAA-compliant systems.
  • Bilingual skills., * Ability to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.

Benefits & conditions

  • Full-time salaried position.
  • Typical work hours occur between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. with flexibility based on organizational needs.
  • Occasional travel between Fernbrook locations, community settings, and other work sites.
  • Expected workweek is generally 40-45 hours, with additional hours as needed to meet project deadlines and organizational needs.
