Job description

The Data Engineer interprets business needs, develops data pipelines, supports data infrastructure, collaborates with teams, and provides Tier 3 technical support, with a focus on AWS cloud services and data governance., * Identify, design, and implement process improvements and infrastructure redesigns for scalability

  • Develop and maintain data pipelines and artifacts such as schemas and data dictionaries
  • Integrate data pipelines with AWS cloud services to extract insights
  • Support stakeholders’ data infrastructure needs and troubleshoot technical issues
  • Provide Tier 3 support for deployed applications and dataflows

Requirements

  • Active Top-Secret/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of data engineering experience
  • Experience with distributed computing frameworks and cloud environments
  • Proficiency in Python, AWS Lambda, and data stores like PostgreSQL, S3, Redshift, MongoDB/DynamoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, SQL
  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and Agile development
  • Experience with collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence, * Master’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of cloud message APIs, push notifications, and DevOps environments
  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming, scripting, and databases
