Data Analyst

Molina Healthcare is seeking a Data Analyst to support healthcare analytics, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives. This role will be responsible for extracting, integrating, analyzing, and reporting on data from multiple healthcare systems, including claims, pharmacy, enrollment, and financial platforms. The ideal candidate will possess strong Excel, Power BI, and SQL skills, along with the ability to identify trends, develop actionable insights, and support executive-level decision making through data-driven reporting.

This position is fully remote and is well suited for an early-career analyst looking to build experience within the healthcare and managed care industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Refresh, maintain, and troubleshoot Excel and Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Fulfill ad hoc reporting requests related to pharmacy, medical expenses, enrollment, and healthcare operations.
• Extract, upload, and manage large datasets from multiple healthcare systems including QNXT, MedInsight, pharmacy, and enrollment platforms.
• Prepare recurring reports that support operational and executive decision-making.
• Analyze report results and identify trends, opportunities, inefficiencies, and areas of concern.
• Support healthcare cost analysis and quality improvement initiatives.
• Develop efficient reporting methodologies and improve existing reporting processes.
• Validate data accuracy and investigate discrepancies within reports and datasets.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support analytical and reporting needs.
• Document findings and communicate observations to management.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect confidential healthcare information.
• Support additional analytics projects and reporting initiatives as needed.

Do you have experience in Statistics?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Bachelor’s Degree in Biostatistics, Public Health, Statistics, Mathematics, Healthcare Administration, Healthcare Analytics, or a related field., * 0-2 years of relevant analytical, reporting, or business intelligence experience.

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills required.
• Experience using SQL, SAS, or similar programming language for reporting and data analysis.
• Experience with data management and analysis.
• Strong quantitative and analytical abilities.
• Experience creating reports and working with large datasets.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Power BI reporting and dashboard development.
• Healthcare, managed care, medical claims, pharmacy claims, or enrollment data experience.
• Experience using MedInsight or healthcare reporting tools.
• Knowledge of healthcare analytics and healthcare cost reporting.
• Exposure to data cubes and business intelligence environments.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
