Systems & Application Engineer

• Responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise software and our DaaS applications. Act as the bridge between end-users and technical teams, ensuring that critical business software is highly available, secure, and aligned with customer needs
• Work closely with the eQ Project/Program Manager, customer implementation team , eQ Product Development and key stakeholders to understand for various software installation whose tasks include: defining limitations/constraints, IT technical specifications, hardware, pre-installation preparation tasks, architecture and test plan for the application(s).
• eQ software products & solutions, working closely with both eQ Software Engineers & Product Development and Customer’s System/Application administrators. Tasks include: troubleshooting; installing, removing, upgrading and performance optimization of software/licenses; assisting in the successful deployment and ongoing operations of eQ products/solutions on both internal and customer networks.
• Provide technical (Level 2/Level 3) support for applications. Support the customer’s analyst in troubleshooting both application and business process issues preventing successful operation of the eQ Software/Solutions.
• Troubleshoot ancillary (non-eQ) software & applications; network; and hardware due to issues preventing execution, optimal performance, connections, security, etc. of eQ products/solutions on internal and customer premise.
• Expectation is to grow into a subject matter expert (SME) on installing, upgrading and troubleshooting eQ products/solutions. Including understanding compatibility issues with ancillary interfacing applications, operating systems and network.
• Work closely with eQ Product Development & Quality Assurance departments across the globe to understand installation/upgrade process changes; version compatibility & best practices and future direction of products and anticipate impact across both Internal and Customer’s networks.

Do you have experience in Windows support?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * 2 years experience deploying/installing JAVA Application servers: Weblogic, WebSphere, Apache or JBoss.

• 2 years experience configuring Java Application servers including optimization/garbage collection.
• Hands on experience Oracle & SQL Server Database. (major plus)
• Hands on experience & knowledge Configuring and/or Using a PLM product (Teamcenter, Windchill, etc) is a plus
• Hands on experience & knowledge Configuring SAP, PDM, ERP,PLM, MES or MRO. (major plus)
• Hands on experience & knowledge installing F5 Firewall.
• Knowledge of Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012 R2, SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 and 12, Red Hat Enterprise Server 6.4, 7.
• Familiarity with localization.
• Troubleshooting knowledge in the following areas or with the following products.
• Servers: Windows Server, SuSE Linux Enterprise Server.
• Windows 10, 8 and 7.
• Browsers (and their security configurations for use with Web Applications).
• Databases e.g. MS SQL.
• LDAP Servers & Microsoft Active Directory.
• UNIX.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Information Technology/Industrial Engineering. (major plus)
• CompTIA Security Plus Certification is a plus., * Bachelor’s (Required)
