Job description

We are currently seeking a high-caliber Senior Network and Security Engineer to join our EMEA team in London. In this critical role, you will take ownership of our data network and security infrastructure, ensuring the stability and agility of our financial operations., As a senior member of the Network Systems Support team, you will be responsible for the health, security, and evolution of our EMEA data network.

  • Incident Management: Act as a technical lead for network-related incidents, troubleshooting from initial alert through to resolution. You will liaise with internal teams and vendors to ensure seamless service.
  • Project Delivery: Drive network data project tasks to specific timelines, contributing to the modernization and scaling of our infrastructure.
  • Administration & Documentation: Maintain and create comprehensive network diagrams and technical documentation to ensure operational excellence.
  • Team Leadership: Support and maintain all data, security, and infrastructure duties, acting as a mentor and technical escalation point within the team.

Requirements

We are looking for a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of multi-protocol system networks. You should possess:

  • Core Networking: Expertise in Layer 3 Path Control (IPv4 redistribution, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP) and Layer 2 switching.
  • Cisco Ecosystem: Advanced proficiency in Cisco NX-OS, IOS, ACI, ISE, and Meraki.
  • Security & Firewalls: Hands-on experience with Palo Alto, CheckPoint, and Cisco ASA, alongside a strong grasp of network security principles.
  • Load Balancing & Analytics: Experience with F5 BigIP and Cisco Tetration.
  • Operations: Mastery of IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs, High Availability, and Multicast., You are a results-driven engineer who thrives under pressure. You can communicate complex technical concepts to stakeholders at all levels and operate with a sense of urgency. A structured, logical approach to problem-solving is essential, as is the ability to manage large workloads and tight deadlines.

Benefits & conditions

The role operates on a shift pattern (approximately 2 in 6 shifts) to cover support and project delivery.

  • Early Shift: Starts at 7:00 am.
  • Late Shift: Ends at 6:00 pm.
  • On-Call: Participation in after-office hours and weekend on-call rotation as required by the business.
