Senior Network Engineer

This is a full-time position for a Senior Network engineer with multi-vendor device experience who will lead projects and work with customer to deliver the latest solutions. This position involves planning, implementation, and support of network and security solutions at large enterprise networks with multi-vendor technologies. The engineer will be working with multiple clients and will provide technical leadership in network practices, and day-to-day network technical support. As a subject matter expert, the engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining networking and edge devices, which includes routers, switches, firewalls, Intrusion detection, and related hardware, and provide recommendations for innovative network and security enhancements. The engineer should be competent on application level security, implementation and management as well. Must have 10+ years of experience in network and security implementations., Design, implement and support of infrastructure including Wireless, Switches, Routers, Firewalls, VPN solutions for the customers.

Risk and vulnerability assessments on enterprise networks.

Provide technical support and resolutions for upgrades and outages.

Continue to train and develop knowledge and skills of new technologies, processes, and systems.

Skills and Specifications

10+ years of experience implementing network and infrastructure solutions.

Cisco “CCNA” or equivalent.

CCNP Preferred, Experience designing network and security solutions.

Experience configuring and troubleshooting with Firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs and other information security technologies products. (Cisco technologies preferred)

Experience installing configuring and troubleshooting Cisco Routers and Switches (Routers- ISR, 4xxx, 29xx, 39xx - Switches - Nexus 9xxx, 7xxx, 5xxx, Catalyst 3xxx, 4xxx, 6xxx, 93XX, 92XX)

Understanding of, or experience with Cisco ISE solutions or other NPS policy management for VPN, Security, and Wireless integrations.

Excellent Layer 2 & 3 Networking Skills. Solid understanding of access and distribution layer LAN switching environments with VLANs, Spanning Tree (RSTP, PVST, MST), VTP, Etherchannel.

Ability to capture and interpret network traffic with WireShark or other software.

Ability to make and justify best practice suggestions for network security and design.

Working knowledge of Two-factor authentication.
