Job description
Perform system integration testing and troubleshooting of complex Train Control Systems specifically the DCS (Data Communications System).
As a Data Communication System Integrator, you will be responsible for developing technical documentation. You will also conduct field activities, including leading and witnessing functional performance testing and performing construction inspections.
What your day may look like:
- Develop technical documentation, including plans, procedures and reports and troubleshooting guides.
- Perform complex planning of detailed testing and integration activities for CBTC (Communication Based Train Control) DCS (Data Communication System).
- Attend and actively participate in project and construction team meetings.
- Lead and participate functional performance testing in the field, including nights, weekends and weekdays as required.
- Identify, document, and report system or project issues, and proactively follow up with the Systems Engineering team through resolution.
- Identify and report all System or project issues, diligently following up on these issues with the System Engineering team until the issue is resolved.
- Lead Maintenance activities for CBTC DCS once in-service to ensure operational reliability.
- Support Training activities for CBTC DCS.
Requirements
Do you have experience in User training (technical support)?, * Bachelorâs or masterâs degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- Demonstrated experience in related disciplines, with a proven ability to perform the responsibilities and apply the knowledge outlined above.
- Required knowledge of Communication-Based Train Control (CBTC) systems.
- Experience authoring technical reports, procedures, and other formal documentation.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability, with the ability to collaborate effectively to meet project goals and ensure overall project success.
- Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally within Siemens organizations and with external project partners.
- Proven ability to manage and resolve conflicts by working with all stakeholders to identify solutions and facilitate alternatives that lead to optimal outcomes.
- Valid NYCT track training required.
- OSHA 10-hour Construction certification within the last 5 years.

This position is located in New York, NY. The salary range for this position is $127,602.00 - $130,000.00. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location. $127,602.00 $130,000.00
