Job description

Cummings Electrical is hiring a Designated Safety Representative for our Integrated Manufacturing facility in Arlington, TX. Cummings Integrated Manufacturing is seeking a Designated Safety Representative (DSR) who is responsible for supporting, monitoring, and inspecting the health and safety activities of the work being performed on assigned projects and/or the overall facility to ensure compliance. Cummings Electrical is expanding our Integrated Manufacturing team. We design and build custom, integrated, modular systems such as e-houses, electrical skids, HAC’s and UL 508A panels for a wide range of projects, including data centers, healthcare facilities, industrial plants, and more. As part of our team, you will work hands-on in a fast-paced, innovative environment, helping reduce jobsite risks, accelerate project timelines, and deliver high-quality solutions.   • Learn and understand the health and safety policies and procedures established by Cummings Integrated Manufacturing.
  • Advise all floor employees, and subcontractors regarding safe work practices needed to comply with company safety procedures, project requirements, and local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Routinely inspect the work areas & overall facility for safety violations and stop any unsafe work practices/conditions.
  • Report all safety concerns, incidents, and near-misses to the Safety Manager within 24 hours of occurrence.
  • The DSR shall monitor and ensure that the operations for these activities are safe and in compliance with the applicable procedures and regulations
  • Production installation / operations
  • Electrical components & assemblies
  • Cutting / Welding
  • Material Handling, staging & loading/offloading
  • Crane Operations, including flagging/spotter
  • Equipment inspections and operations
  • Project/site inspections and operations
  • Lockout /Tagout

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driver’s License license?, Do you have experience in Welding?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * OSHA 30Hr - General Industry Trained

  • Minimum 1-year verifiable, full-time safety experience or related discipline or willingness to learn.
  • Electrical experience a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet manner.
  • Ability to function independently and take initiative until tasks are complete.
  • Strong computer skills and adept at learning new software
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Prior work within manufacturing organization a plus.
  • Bilingual a plus
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time during scheduled shifts
  • Ability to perform physical activities such as bending, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching, and climbing as required by job duties
