Job description

We are seeking a motivated and growth-oriented Jr. Software Engineer to join our Data Operations team, supporting Business Intelligence initiatives. This role will support the development of internal tools, data visualizations, and cloud-based solutions that enhance reporting, analytics, and business operations across partnerships, premium services, and finance., This position is ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to build hands-on experience across data, software development, and cloud technologies. The Jr. Software Engineer will work closely with the Business Intelligence team to support, test, and maintain scalable data solutions while continuing to develop technical skills in React, Python, and Azure., * Support the development and enhancement of data-driven applications and dashboards for business stakeholders

  • Assist in building interactive visualizations and user interfaces using React
  • Support backend development using Python for data processing, automation, and application logic
  • Support data pipeline and integration efforts in collaboration with the Data Engineering and BI teams
  • Assist in deploying and maintaining applications and services in Azure cloud environments
  • Assist in gathering and translating business requirements into technical solutions and reporting tools, in collaboration with BI team members
  • Support data accuracy and reliability through testing, validation, and monitoring processes
  • Assist with maintaining documentation for data flows, applications, and development processes
  • Stay current with best practices in software development, data engineering, and analytics

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in computer science, data analytics, engineering, or a related field

  • Foundational understanding of data, analytics, or software development concepts

  • Familiarity with at least one programming language (preferably Python or JavaScript)

  • Exposure to or interest in data visualization and frontend development (React)

  • Interest in working with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Effective communication and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Eagerness to learn and grow within a data and engineering-focused team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with React, Python, SQL, or Power BI through coursework or projects

  • Exposure to data pipelines, ETL processes, or data modeling concepts

  • Familiarity with APIs and integrating multiple data sources

  • Understanding of cloud-based development or deployment workflows

  • Previous internship or hands-on experience in data, analytics, or software development, * Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to participate in meetings, presentations, and collaborative work sessions.
  • Ability to work in an office environment with occasional on-site collaboration.
  • Ability to travel locally for meetings or organizational events as needed.
