Job description

The System Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, operation, and maintenance of the organization’s server, storage, virtualization, backup, and infrastructure-dependent application environments. This role ensures the availability, performance, security, and recoverability of core technology systems supporting business operations. The position serves as a technical resource for enterprise infrastructure platforms and business applications that rely on server, virtualization, storage, database, network, and disaster recovery services., 1. Administer and maintain server infrastructure, including Windows and/or Linux systems.

  1. Manage virtualization environment, including VMware ESXi hosts and vCenter platforms.

  2. Provision, monitor, and optimize virtual machines and system resources.

  3. Manage enterprise storage systems (SAN/NAS) and capacity planning.

  4. Administer backup and recovery solutions, including routine backup validation and disaster recovery testing.

  5. Ensure system availability, performance monitoring, and proactive issue resolution.

  6. Apply system patches, firmware updates, and security hardening practices.

  7. Maintain infrastructure documentation, system configurations, and operational procedures.

  8. Support data center operations, including hardware lifecycle and vendor coordination.

  9. Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution.

  10. Administer and support infrastructure-dependent business applications, including coordination of upgrades, integrations, troubleshooting, vendor support, and lifecycle management for applications requiring server, virtualization, storage, database, backup, disaster recovery, network, or security infrastructure services.

  11. Collaborate with infrastructure, network, security, application, and vendor teams to support enterprise systems and technology initiatives.

Requirements

Do you have experience in IT department experience?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, Required

  • Must be able to complete multiple assignments and tasks under strict time constraints
  • Must be willing to participate in after-hours work for maintenance, upgrades, or incident response as needed
  • Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills required
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in systems administration or enterprise IT infrastructure or related required., Required
  • High School or better

Preferred

  • Bachelors or better in Information Technology or related field
