Job description
We are seeking a skilled Embedded Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain embedded systems and firmware for electronic products and devices. The ideal candidate will have experience working with microcontrollers, real-time operating systems (RTOS), communication protocols, and hardware-software integration. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and high-quality solutions., * Design, develop, and maintain embedded software and firmware for microcontroller-based systems.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate software with electronic components and systems.
- Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and system-level tests to ensure product reliability and performance.
- Debug and troubleshoot firmware, hardware, and system issues.
- Optimize software for memory usage, processing efficiency, and power consumption.
- Implement and maintain communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, USB, Ethernet, or Bluetooth.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to software quality and development standards.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test procedures, and user guides.
- Support product development throughout the entire lifecycle, from concept through production and maintenance.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in embedded systems development.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Version control systems?, * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience developing embedded software using C and/or C++.
- Knowledge of microcontrollers, processors, and embedded hardware architectures.
- Experience with debugging tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG, or similar tools.
- Understanding of communication protocols including UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, USB, or Ethernet.
- Familiarity with software development processes, version control systems, and testing methodologies.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment., * Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
- Familiarity with Linux-based embedded systems.
- Knowledge of wireless technologies such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, or LoRa.
- Experience with hardware bring-up and board support package (BSP) development.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles for embedded devices.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
