Amazon Web Services Computer Engineering Software Engineering Multiplatform Server Operating Systems & Platforms

Job description

Amazon Web Services’ Hardware Engineering team is looking for experienced professionals to help build the world’s premier cloud computing platform. We are looking for Manufacturing Engineers who are capable of operating in a fast paced, ever changing, multi-platform international manufacturing and production environment. Our Infrastructure Hardware team works closely with our ODMs, CMs, internal AWS hardware and software development teams, and with upstream component vendors to design all of the required tools, test fixtures and equipment needed for a product to launch and scale up across multiple sites world wide. This role requires the engineer to be a technical contact and take on full ownership of the manufacturing launch and resolution of process issues. You will be the driver in getting production scaled across a global network. You will own the tooling and fixture design as well as the processes that go with them. You will implement standardized tooling world wide across multiple ODMs and vendors ensuring consistent usage and processes across sites.

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.

Key job responsibilities
