Job description

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Java Developer with strong expertise in IBM WebSphere and Web Services development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining enterprise-level applications while ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability. The candidate should possess excellent problem-solving skills and experience working in complex enterprise environments., * Design, develop, test, and deploy Java/J2EE applications in WebSphere environments.

  • Develop and maintain SOAP and REST-based web services.
  • Integrate applications with internal and external systems using web service technologies.
  • Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application, deployment, and performance issues.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Optimize application performance and ensure scalability.
  • Support production applications and participate in incident resolution activities.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

Do you have experience in WebSphere?, * 10+ years of experience in Java/J2EE application development.

  • Strong experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS).
  • Hands-on experience developing and consuming SOAP and RESTful Web Services.
  • Strong knowledge of Core Java, J2EE, Servlets, JSP, JDBC, and XML.
  • Experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC).
  • Experience with web service technologies such as WSDL, SOAP, REST, JSON, and XML.
  • Strong understanding of application deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting in WebSphere environments.
  • Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or DB2.
  • Knowledge of version control systems such as Git, SVN, or Bitbucket.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills., * Experience with IBM MQ, JMS, or messaging technologies.
  • Knowledge of Microservices architecture.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Maven, or GitHub Actions.
  • Cloud exposure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
  • Experience in Banking, Financial Services, Healthcare, or Insurance domains is preferred.

Benefits & conditions

$50 - $60 an hour - Contract
