Job description

Assembly/QA Technician use hand tools, wireless screwdriver drills to build our in-house industrial DuraLabel printers. Duties include preparing plastic front and back panels, printer engines, chassis, computer main board installation, power control boards installation and cable installations. Individual initiative, a dedication to quality and a sense of pride in one’s workmanship is critical., * Perform assembly of printers according to established specification and instructions.

  • Perform pre-assembly activities such as: sub-parts assembly preparations and parts quality check.
  • Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts.
  • Utilize power tools and various equipment to perform day to day task.
  • Re-stocking parts, materials, and supplies.
  • Receive, unload, unpack, and transfer materials to different workstations.
  • Monitor the functioning of all equipment and report any problems or substandard conditions to supervisor.
  • Perform final checks, and adjustments for any defects to ensure high quality products.
  • Perform installation, repairs, parts inspection, replacing out of spec. parts, refitting as required.
  • Conduct printer printing performance testing and record results in database.
  • Package printers that have passed QA for shipment.
  • Maintains work area clean, safe, and orderly.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Productivity software?, * Ability to work independently and in groups.

  • Ability to use hand tools, crimpers, wire cutters, etc.
  • Attention to detail and quality.
  • Must be able to read and understand mechanical drawings & wire diagrams.
  • Takes initiative, reliable, on time, positive attitude, work well with others.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical Demands/Work Environment

  • Ability to sit, stand and walk frequently.
  • Temperature controlled warehouse.
  • Moderate noise levels.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly.
  • Occasional periods of prolonged standing.

Experience

  • Preferred assembly work experience.
  • Preferred technical certifications.

Benefits & conditions

Pay Range: $18/hour

Schedule: 40 hours/week, Mon-Fri, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
