Job description

  • You will respond to customer inquiries regarding technology needs and alerts via emails, incoming calls, and walk-ins.
  • You will answer phone calls and responds to visitors in a timely fashion following the department’s procedures.
  • You will seek to resolve customer concerns in a pleasant and professional manner. Interactions with customers should be clear/professional communication, a polite tone of voice, active listening skills, accuracy/timeliness in response, and the provision of exceptional customer service.
  • You will create helpdesk tickets and perform level one type problem determination & troubleshooting to facilitate resolution & record efforts in helpdesk tracking system.
  • You will check to ensure user has no other issues to address at the time.
  • You will forward helpdesk tickets to the appropriate I.T. group if higher level support is necessary.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Vendor communication?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * A high school diploma and two years relevant experience.

  • An associate’s degree in a related field may be substituted for required years of experience.
  • Ability to understand and carry out simple to moderately technical and non-technical instructions and requests.
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to work effectively with users, vendors, and other IT personnel.
  • Ability to provide status reports and other technical and non-technical reports in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to use problem management database and help desk systems.

Official transcripts will be required to verify college degree.
