Golang Engineer

Tesla is seeking a Golang Engineer to join a high-impact backend engineering team. This role focuses on building scalable APIs, distributed systems, and infrastructure tooling to support high-traffic environments. The engineer will collaborate across domains, design resilient systems, and contribute to AI/LLM-driven initiatives. Core Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services and APIs using Golang as the primary language.
• Architect scalable, distributed systems with a focus on reliability and performance.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases; optimize queries and schema design.
• Build infrastructure and tooling beyond product features to support platform scalability.
• Develop event-driven architectures leveraging Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar.
• Contribute to AI/LLM integration within backend systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions across multiple domains.

• Strong Golang development experience (primary language).
• Backend engineering expertise: API/web service development.
• System design skills for scalable, distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and CI/CD practices.
• Database knowledge: SQL fundamentals + exposure to NoSQL.
• Event-driven architecture experience (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Ability to build infrastructure/tooling for high-traffic environments.
• Exposure to LLM/AI applications.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with ArgoCD, Helm.
• Distributed caching solutions.
• Infrastructure/platform tooling expertise.
• Familiarity with gRPC or modern service communication patterns.
• Strong NoSQL experience (MongoDB preferred).
• Cross-domain collaboration experience.
