Job description

We are seeking a highly experienced Business Intelligence Analyst Specialist to support complex data analysis, reporting, and visualization initiatives. This role will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate data needs into actionable insights, enabling effective decision-making and program performance monitoring., Business Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Gather and analyze business requirements, translating complex data needs into actionable queries and reporting solutions
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and business users to ensure alignment on data requirements and deliverables
  • Communicate technical findings and data limitations clearly to non-technical stakeholders

Data Analysis & Query Development

  • Perform advanced data extraction, transformation, and analysis using SQL
  • Work with complex datasets to generate insights supporting operational and strategic decisions
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting outputs

Reporting & Visualization

  • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Power BI and/or Tableau
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to validate reporting outputs for program monitoring and official reporting
  • Present insights in a clear and actionable manner to leadership and cross-functional teams

Collaboration & Data Governance

  • Partner with IT teams, analysts, and business users to support reporting and analytics initiatives
  • Apply data governance and data quality best practices
  • Serve as a point of contact for data-related inquiries and reporting needs

Project & Process Support

  • Support or lead analytics and reporting projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes
  • Contribute to Agile or hybrid project environments, including sprint planning and documentation
  • Develop and maintain documentation for reporting processes and data definitions

Training & Knowledge Sharing

  • Promote data literacy by providing training and guidance to non-technical users
  • Mentor team members and support knowledge sharing initiatives
  • Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices in business intelligence and analytics

AI & Innovation (Preferred)

  • Support development of AI-driven analytics solutions and prompt libraries
  • Apply responsible AI practices and ensure compliance with organizational standards
  • Explore tools such as Python-based applications for enhancing analytics capabilities

Requirements

Do you have experience in SQL?, * 10+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related roles

  • Strong expertise in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis
  • Proven experience gathering business requirements and translating them into analytical solutions
  • Experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI and/or Tableau
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities, * Experience with Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse environments
  • Experience leading or supporting projects using Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies
  • Experience serving as a primary data contact for reporting needs (federal, state, or internal)
  • Background in regulated environments such as healthcare, public sector, or similar industries
  • Knowledge of data governance and data quality frameworks
  • Experience promoting data literacy and training end-users
  • Familiarity with AI tools, prompt development, or Python-based solutions (e.g., Streamlit)
  • Understanding of responsible AI practices and compliance standards, * This is a fully onsite role requiring close collaboration with stakeholders
  • Candidates should be comfortable working with complex data systems and large datasets
  • Strong emphasis on data accuracy, reporting quality, and stakeholder communication
