Job description

The DATA CENTER - Lead Electrician / Journeyman Electrician is a hands-on technical role responsible for leading field installation crews in executing datacenter white space infrastructure projects.

This role combines Electrical Expertise with Data Center Infrastructure knowledge to ensure high-quality installations of power distribution, structured cabling, containment systems, and rack infrastructure. The Lead Tech serves as the on-site technical authority, coordinating crew activities, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring safe work practices., The following is an overview of the responsibilities of the DATA CENTER - Lead Electrician / Journeyman Electrician required for this position but does not represent full breadth of activities:

Technical Execution

Journeyman Electrician License

· Lead installation of electrical power distribution systems including whips, busway interfaces, PDUs, and proper grounding

· Execute structured cabling installations (fiber and copper) per BICSI standards

· Install and configure rack and cabinet systems, cable management, and hot/cold aisle containment

· Perform quality control inspections and testing of all installed systems

· Troubleshoot technical issues and implement solutions in the field

Requirements

Do you have a valid Master Electrician license?, Do you have experience in Quality inspection?, We are looking to hire a seasoned DATA CENTER - Lead Electrician / Journeyman Electrician with Strong Data Center experience., · 5+ years of hands-on experience in a Large DATA CENTER infrastructure or commercial electrical work

· Valid Journeyman Electrician license

· OSHA 10 certification (OSHA 30 preferred)

· Experience with power distribution in datacenter environments

· Proven ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications

· Clean driving record and ability to operate company vehicles

· Ability to lift/carry 50+ lbs and work at heights on ladders, in tight spaces, and overhead environments

Preferred:

· BICSI Installer 2, Copper or Technician certification

· Experience with datacenter OEM products (Panduit, Chatsworth, Vertiv, APC, Starline)

· Prior experience leading small crews or teams

· Familiarity with structured cabling installation and testing

· Forklift and Aerial Lift Certification
