Job description

As a Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for the ownership and management of Provider Servicing systems. This includes developing new AI-powered solutions and providing support for existing microservices-based applications and integration platforms. Opportunities for growth involve leading an engineering team, gaining exposure to new technology adaptations, and contributing to the company’s evolution into a future healthcare platform., * Design and develop scalable, secure, and configurable platform services for the Provider Servicing Team.

  • Lead backend development and support of services across backend (Java/Spring Cloud) and integration platforms (Mulesoft and others)
  • Utilize working knowledge of AI-powered developer tools (e.g., Copilot, Cursor) and actively contribute to AI adoption in development and operational aspects.
  • Build and enrich APIs and data services to integrate with partners.
  • Collaborate with product managers, operations analysts, customer advocates in building solutions that helps Providers integrate with our platform.
  • Understand architectural decisions and actively drive reusable patterns for cloud-native, AI-enabled backend systems.
  • Lead and mentor other engineers in the team and help them succeed.
  • Actively work with the operations and customer advocates to create efficient processes through automations to improve SLAs.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Systems integration?, * Backend Engineering: Strong proficiency in Java & Spring Cloud, with a deep understanding of microservices architecture and Integration platforms

  • AI Tools: Regular use of AI-enhanced development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, WindSurf).
  • Cloud: Extensive experience with Cloud Technologies (AWS/GCP preferred).
  • Data: Hands-on experience in data architecture, SQL/PostgreSQL, and developing data-intensive services.
  • Systems Development: Prior experience in building, launching, and maintaining complex systems.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, and product managers, to gather requirements and ensure solutions meet business needs.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills across all levels and teams., The actual pay rate offered within the range will depend on factors including geographic location, qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In addition to the salary, you will be eligible for 205,000 stock options and benefits like health insurance, 401k, and paid time off.
