Job description

IQ Inc. is hiring a DevOps Engineer (Mid-Senior Level) to help design, build, and support reliable cloud infrastructure and automation solutions across diverse projects and client environments.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys tackling complex technical challenges, working across multiple systems, and driving best practices in DevOps. You’ll play a key role in shaping scalable solutions while balancing autonomy with cross-team collaboration.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, deploy, and support cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure environments
  • Build and manage infrastructure using Terraform, with familiarity in tools such as Bicep or CloudFormation considered a plus
  • Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to streamline delivery processes
  • Manage and improve multiple environments, including development, QA, staging, and production
  • Package and deploy applications using Docker, with occasional involvement in Kubernetes-based systems
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD workflows to improve reliability and release quality
  • Apply security best practices, including access control, audit logging, and dependency/security scanning
  • Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response mechanisms
  • Participate in troubleshooting efforts, post-incident analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Optimize cloud usage and costs through tagging, monitoring, and resource right-sizing
  • Document infrastructure, processes, and system architecture clearly and consistently
  • Work independently while coordinating with internal teams and external clients

Additional Opportunities

When DevOps workload is lighter, you may contribute directly to software development efforts. Candidates with experience in technologies like .NET/C#, Angular, or Python will have opportunities to work within active production codebases.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Terraform?, * At least 4 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or similar roles

  • Hands-on experience working with both AWS and Azure
  • Strong proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure automation
  • Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines, particularly with Azure DevOps
  • Solid understanding of containerization and Docker workflows
  • Experience supporting deployments across multiple environments
  • Familiarity with integrating automated testing into deployment pipelines
  • Knowledge of security and compliance considerations (e.g., HIPAA, HITRUST)
  • Understanding of IAM principles, logging/auditing, and dependency scanning tools
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and projects with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication skills and attention to technical documentation

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to Kubernetes or container orchestration tools
  • Experience with Bicep and/or AWS CloudFormation
  • Familiarity with observability platforms (metrics, logging, alerting)
  • Involvement in incident management and postmortem processes
  • Consulting experience or work across multiple client environments
  • Experience managing and optimizing cloud spend

We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. However, we are not able to sponsor visas.

This is a hybrid role and will require some on-site presence. As such, local candidates are strongly preferred.
