Cloud Database Engineer

• Knowledge in Public or Private cloud technologies like GCP, Azure, AWS and Openstack, etc
• Experience working with various types of distributed and NoSql Databases like Couchbase, Cassandra, Neo4j
• Experience working with any cloud-managed data services like CloudSQL, Spanner, Dataproc
• Experience in NoSQL data modeling and schema design
• Knowledge of design and implementation of Messaging technologies like Kafka and google pub/sub
• Implement HA solution and define Backup/Recovery strategy
• Experience with Performance and Tuning of Databases and messaging technologies
• Experience in CI/CD tools and processes used in cloud environments like Spinnaker, Jenkins, etc
• Experience with automating the infrastructure set up using the tools, preferably terraform and Python, consul template, Golang.
• Experience in Database and messaging security
• Participate in on-call support

Expertise you need to bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field
• 7+ years of experience in software development working for Enterprise organizations
• Must-haves:
• Experience in SQL, DB2 (Mainframe) Databases - Must be extremely strong in this
• Experience on Cassandra, Couchbase DB’s
• Experience with Data mining, Data insertion, Data mapping.
• Experience on Scripting (any one scripting language)
• Experience with master data management
• Application deployment automation experience with JAVA spring boot.

Preferred:

• Retail experience
• Ecommerce Experience
• ETL (Informatica) Experience
• GCP (Google Cloud Platform) experience; if not GCP, Azure experience also works
