Job description

Join our team to design and build innovative SAP solutions that transform how our organization operates. You’ll work across modern cloud platforms and core SAP systems, creating custom applications and intelligent solutions that solve real business challenges while maintaining clean architecture principles.

We are seeking an experienced SAP developer with a strong background in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, RAP, CAP, AI-related BTP services, and ABAP to join our SAP implementation project team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing custom solutions, enhancements, extensions, and user interfaces using ABAP programming, SAP Fiori, and SAP Business Technology Platform services to meet the specific business requirements of our organization. This role requires strong hands-on capability in both modern SAP cloud development and core SAP backend development, with greater emphasis on BTP-based application development, side-by-side extensibility, clean core principles, and intelligent application scenarios.

Key job responsibilities

  • Analyze business requirements, specifications, and designs to build SAP BTP and ABAP solutions.

  • Develop ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, APIs, and backend services.

  • Create and maintain modern user interfaces using SAP Fiori and SAPUI5.

  • Collaborate with functional consultants and business analysts on technical solution design.

  • Develop, enhance, and support custom Fiori applications and responsive SAPUI5 interfaces.

  • Integrate ABAP, Fiori, BTP services, SAP modules, and external systems as needed.

  • Utilize SAP BTP services including BAS, HANA Cloud, RAP, CAP, Integration Suite, Workflow, Event Mesh, AI Core, AI Launchpad, and Generative AI Hub to build clean-core, intelligent solutions.

  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, troubleshooting, and debugging.

  • Provide technical guidance on ABAP, BTP, Fiori/UI5, RAP, CAP, and AI-enabled development.

  • Document custom code, interfaces, APIs, and technical solutions for support and maintenance.

Requirements

4+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience

  • 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field, or 3+ years of industry work experience

  • 4+ years of SAP development experience across ABAP and SAP BTP.

  • Proficient in SAP Fiori and SAPUI5 development for responsive user interfaces.

  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and clean core principles.

  • Understanding of SAP architecture, data structures, BTP services, and integration techniques.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud

  • Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective

  • Knowledge of agile development and best coding practices including peer code reviews, and unit testing

  • Experience implementing and managing SAP ERP solutions, with a strong focus on SAP S/4HANA

  • Experience in performance tuning and optimization of ABAP programs, SAP applications, and BTP-based solutions.

  • Exposure to AI-enabled SAP scenarios, including SAP AI Core, AI Launchpad, Generative AI Hub, agent-based development concepts, intelligent automation, or enterprise AI use cases on BTP.

  • Familiarity with RAP and CAP for SAP application and extension development.

  • Familiarity with ABAP Workbench, Business Application Studio, SAP Web IDE, and SAP GUI.
