Data Architect

We’re looking for a hands-on Data Architect & Engineer someone who can both design the blueprint and build the house. You won’t be handing off specs to a team; you’ll own the full data lifecycle, from modeling and governance to pipelines and delivery. Embedded within the Engineering team, you’ll be a core collaborator on how Bambee’s data infrastructure is built and scaled shaping how we use data to drive product decisions, business intelligence, and AI features.

What You’ll Do

Architecture & Strategy

• Design and own Bambee’s data architecture schema design, data models, and the overall structure of our data ecosystem
• Define data governance standards, naming conventions, and documentation practices
• Partner with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to align data infrastructure with company goals
• Evaluate and recommend tools, platforms, and vendors (warehouses, orchestration, BI layers)

Engineering & Execution

• Build and maintain reliable ETL/ELT pipelines that move data from source systems into our warehouse
• Instrument data quality checks and monitoring across pipelines
• Manage and optimize our data warehouse (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift)
• Collaborate with analysts and PMs to ensure clean, well-modeled data is available for reporting and AI/ML use cases
• Support BI tooling and self-serve analytics infrastructure

Do you have experience in Schema design?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, Required

• 5+ years of combined experience in data engineering and/or data architecture
• Strong SQL skills and experience with modern data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining data pipelines (dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, or similar)
• Solid understanding of data modeling concepts (star schema, dimensional modeling, etc.)
• Experience working cross-functionally with non-technical stakeholders
• Comfort working autonomously in a fast-moving, small-team environment

Nice to Have

• Experience in SaaS, HR tech, or fintech
• Familiarity with AI/ML data infrastructure or feature stores
• Python or Spark experience
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks
