Job description
CRG builds safety-critical mapping and situational awareness software for schools and first responders. As a Senior Platform Engineer, you’ll design, build, and maintain the software platforms behind our live situational awareness tooling - including our Finished Product Portal (FPP), platform APIs, and map streaming services. You’ll own features end-to-end - from design and implementation through testing, deployment, and maintenance - and work closely with engineers, designers, and product stakeholders to ship high-quality, secure, and performant software that scales with our users’ needs. What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable features across our front-end (Next.js, Tailwind CSS, ShadCN UI - with iOS and Android on the roadmap) and back-end systems
- Advance our situational awareness, map streaming, and partner integration capabilities
- Mentor and coach other engineers; contribute to architecture and system-design decisions
- Partner with product and design to translate user needs into maintainable software
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to uphold code quality
- Integrate CRG software with partner platforms and internal APIs
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the full stack to ensure reliability and performance
Requirements
Do you have experience in UI?, * Strong full-stack experience with modern front-end (React/Next.js) and back-end development
- Modern platform engineering experience
- Sound technical judgment and a track record of owning features end-to-end
- Experience mentoring engineers and shaping architectural direction
- Bonus: experience with tactical mapping, TAK, or geospatial/situational-awareness systems
